Highlander opened its new regional sales and service center in Singapore.
Registered as Highlander Marine (Asia Pacific) Pte. Ltd., the company is located at the brand-new Eco-Tech@Sunview light industry complex off the intersection of Jalan Buroh and Pioneer Road, meaning that it has close access to the Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE) and to the Pioneer MRT (mass rapid transit system) station.
The company, headed by Mr Patrick Lim, is staffed with a core management and administrative team specializing in Sales, Service, Project Management, Logistical and Technical Support and supported by a team of radio surveyors, service engineers and technicians who are qualified to be deployable to vessels at all port terminals, shipyards and anchorages of Singapore. These are highly proficient professionals experienced in the servicing of radar, radio and satellite equipment, gyrocompasses, speed logs, echo sounders and other bridge electronics. The company also has certified technical trainers, especially for ECDIS, VDR and INS.
Highlander Marine (Asia Pacific) Pte Ltd is an approved service provider on behalf of major classification societies.
The company also serves as a comprehensive depot for Highlander products and spare parts which, thanks to Singapore’s highly efficient and commerce-friendly infrastructure, are delivered swiftly, at a moment’s notice, to vessels in Singapore and elsewhere in the region.
The Highlander company, formally chartered in Year 2001 as the Beijing Highlander Digital Technology Co., Ltd., is today one of around two thousand companies listed on the Shenzen Stock Exchange (SZSE), the eighth largest stock exchange in the World measured by market capitalization. Highlander’s business activities fall into three areas:
1) Advanced equipment and systems for seagoing vessels.
2) Multi-sensor systems for monitoring maritime and airport activity.
